Most of our time this week will involve taking the DRA and udating the reading level of each student.
MATH = fractions... students made a fraction book and should refer to it as
needed when completing class/home work. Last
week students identified fractions using pictures.
This week we will locate fractions on a number line and
make comparisons (less/greater than; equal to).
SPELLING = WTW 15... students will take the 2nd part of their spelling test
on Monday (words #13-24). New spelling words will be
written in their agenda on Monday and the test for the first
section will be Friday and the test over the second section
will be next Monday. Students will write each
spelling word in their spelling journal 5 times and write
one sentence for each word. The first section will be due
on Thursday and the second section will be due the
following Monday.
READING = January Reading Calendar... Students will need to read 500
minutes for the month of January. The December
calendar was collected last Thursday. The January
calendar should be turned in by the 3rd of February.
Students should be reading at least 20 minutes each
