We are testing every day this week! Monday is the checkpoint Language Arts test. Tuesday is the checkpoint Math test. Wednesday is the checkpoint Reading test and make-ups for all tests. Thursday is the IMI (math benchmark) in the morning and the Language Arts benchmark in the afternoon. Friday is the writing assessment. Whew!
Next week we will begin the DRA test (determines current reading level).
All library books need to be returned no later than May 04.
HOMEWORK: Students brought home a worksheet to complete (sequencing sentences). They also wrote their WTW 29 words in their agenda. Their book should be completed and returned on Friday. They should choose 10 of their spelling words and write a sentence for each one, underlining the word. This should be returned Friday, too. Not a lot of homework this week since we are doing so much in class.
Although Thursday is Cinco de Mayo, I'd like to bring in some food on Friday (afternoon) for the kids to try. We have too much going on Thursday, but Friday afternoon will be clear for us to celebrate and discuss what Cinco de Mayo means.
